My Twenty Four published books and two in the pipeline.

My hit counter has gone from well over one million to a few hundred thousand but I'm told that can't be helped as hit counters are outdated. Just saying!!!

My jointly compiled book 'Steam Nostalgia in the North of England' with railway photographer Phil Braithwaite is out and in the shops. Neither of us was particularly happy about the mistakes made at the typesetting stage and will not be promoting it. The book, however, sold out quickly and has been re-issued with the mistakes rectified. Look for the second edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars
This book is compelling reading, from the first few pages you are hooked,
the question of what our lives would be like had we lost the Second World War
and be ruled under a German regime is a question that many of us must
have pondered over the years. Paul Hurley takes us into that cenario in a most
imaginative way, it is a well written story that the reader can visualise,
it is very hard to put down once you begin reading and a highly recommended
novel to buy!!

This is the first novel I have read by this author. It starts off in Liverpool in
areas known to me and then as the war developes the factual story line
morphs into fiction with continual intrigue and suspense.
It is well worth the read and very difficult to put down once you have started!

Paul, I have nearly finished your book and I must say that I have not enjoyed
a read like it in a good while, the research you must have put into it is truly
amazing, insomuch as I could see in my minds eye the detail of the
streets of Liverpool even down to the road junctions and style of the housing,
I truly have not been able to put it down, the way that as a reader we are
gently lead into each page, then it just gets better and better, so much so
I think I held my breath for a chapter or two. Ralf and Angela are so believable,
and Angela"s parents typify a scouse mum and dad.I got so into it I was
reading with a scouse accent. The story never wavers in its intensity from
start to finish, it is a fantastic book and deserves to be on every bookshelf in
Liverpool and every bookshop everywhere.
Not quite finished it yet so don't ask me or tell me owt till I have.
Thanks Paul will be in touch when I,ve escaped its clutches. Dave.

It has already had some success having been shortlisted to 5 and then WON the Agents Pick of the month from the prestigious Andrew Lownie agency.

Out of the five shortlisted titles, I'm delighted to announce that your book Waffen SS Britain was selected by The Andrew Lownie Literary Agency as this month's winner of the Agent's Pick competition!

David Haviland, literary agent at Andrew Lownie, has said "Waffen SS Britain is an interesting counterfactual novel, in a similar vein to Robert Harris's Fatherland. Although it's a premise that we've seen before, the author takes a thoughtful and considered approach that I really enjoyed."
