What an awesome read, a bit of everything! Humour, heart-wrenching stories and a true journey through time! Couldn’t put it down. Would definitely recommend it.

Found it hard to put down. As a retired officer, it brought back many memories as I knew some of the characters mentioned. It puts some of the problems of law and order into a proper perspective.

 *

Bought this as a present for my mother who's a big fan of Paul Hurley's 'through time' books. Said she couldn't put the book down, a brilliant read. Highly recommended.

*

What an amazing book! I only got the book on Sunday and I’m almost at the end, I can’t put it down! Thank you xx

*

WAFFEN SS BRITAIN Now re-issued with a better cover as Britain Invaded, see on the left.

Here is the first review of it from Mr Col Casselden

If you haven't read this Book yet .. I can't recommend it enough!. I read it over 3 nights and was hooked from the start
It has everything ..a great story that, although fiction, could really have happened.
The attention to detail of the true facts re The German SS is amazing. The story is full of intrigue, which starts to unfold after the first Chapter and includes, Action, romance, heartbreak, violence, inhumanity, shocking horror, revenge and retribution, all made so believable by the writer, in a style that's easy to follow and has you gripped until the very end

 David Edward Naden

It's one of best written well-researched books I have had the pleasure of reading, I used to live in the areas that are so well described and was transported to the streets described by the atmosphere the pages oozed, well worth a read, it's unputdownable, up there with the very best.

It is available on the internet at the moment on Hardback £17.99, Paperback £11.99 and Kindle at £1.99.

It is now released as Britain Invaded.' A nightmare story of love and evil in Nazi Britain.

Hit the book cover to the left and you will be taken to the Amazon page.

The review from Louis Pickford

Paul, My best wishes to you and yours The Book was excellent. The Story, your characters a twist of the tale...really masterful and an enthralling read. I've spent a while in Bad Tölz and know it well, Gmund too on the beautiful Tegernsee. For the final curtain you chose Prague, we revisited the place only a couple of weeks ago. All in all fantastic, when is the sequel, when's it being filmed? The story was fully researched and my due respect that you got so much historical detail in there. May I recommend the book publicly? Thanks again Paul for a brilliant read.

5.0 out of 5 stars
This book is compelling reading, from the first few pages you are hooked,
the question of what our lives would be like had we lost the Second World War
and be ruled by a German regime is a question that many of us must
have pondered over the years. Paul Hurley takes us into that scenario in a most
imaginative way, it is a well-written story that the reader can visualize,
it is very hard to put down once you begin reading and a highly recommended
novel to buy!!

This is the first novel I have read by this author. It starts off in Liverpool in areas
known to me and then as the war develops the factual storyline
morphs into fiction with continual intrigue and suspense.
It is well worth the read and very difficult to put down once you have started!

Via Facebook and Amazon.
Paul, I have nearly finished your book and I must say that I have not enjoyed
a read like it in a good while, the research you must have put into it is truly
amazing, insomuch as I could see in my mind's eye the detail of the
streets of Liverpool even down to the road junctions and style of the housing,
I truly have not been able to put it down, the way that as a reader we are
gently lead into each page, then it just gets better and better, so much so
I think I held my breath for a chapter or two. Ralf and Angela are so believable,
and Angela"s parents typify a scouse mum and dad. I got so into it I was
reading with a scouse accent. The story never waivers in its intensity from
start to finish, it is a fantastic book and deserves to be on every bookshelf in
Liverpool and every bookshop everywhere.
Not quite finished it yet so don't ask me or tell me owt till I have.
Thanks, Paul will be in touch when I've escaped its clutches. Dave.

It has already had some success having been shortlisted from 100 to 5 and then WON the Agents Pick of the month from the prestigious Andrew Lownie agency.

Out of the five shortlisted titles, I'm delighted to announce that your book Waffen SS Britain was selected by The Andrew Lownie Literary Agency as this month's winner of the Agent's Pick competition!

David Haviland, a literary agent at Andrew Lownie, has said "Waffen SS Britain is an interesting counterfactual novel, in a similar vein to Robert Harris's Fatherland. Although it's a premise that we've seen before, the author takes a thoughtful and considered approach that I really enjoyed."
